Welcoming the Autumn
On Sunday, September 21, Waterspirit celebrated the autumn equinox with music, poetry, movement, and community. The group that gathered at the First Presbyterian Church of Rumson was varied in age and faith tradition, but united in their love for the natural world. Phil Weir and Keeley Giblin provided beautiful Irish fiddle tunes, and yoga instructor Pat Richter helped us embody the equinox’s balance through simple movement exercises. After many inspirational readings and reflection activities, participants gathered for seasonal refreshments to complete our celebration of the harvest season.
