The smoky skies from Canadian wildfires in the northeast are undeniable. We cannot any longer continue investing and supporting and allowing polluting industries to choke us as they rake in record monetary profits. People still have the power and they are pushing back against data center expansion municipality by municipality, county by county across the land. New Jersey residents overwhelmingly across the state are regularly pushing back against AI data centers and do not want more pollution; they do not want to be the first state in the northeast to dry up from drought.
Our Public Policy & Justice Organizer spoke today on WBAI radio (99.5 FM) WBAI.org linking encroaching industry with ongoing hope through active education, outreach and advocacy for ourselves, our water, air and land. May we all become educated and empowered into local action and protect sacred water together. Community members know themselves and their land best; Indigenous knowledge of caring for sacred Earth is where we should be rooted as we plan for a post peak-oil future.
