Waterspirit invites the media to a gathering of faith and ecology leaders and community members, an event to deepen our shared understanding of related struggles, stories and impacts. Participants will discuss the issues they are addressing, what challenges they are facing, and how they can continue creating local spiritually-driven environmental networks.
Spiritual and religious groups have mobilized in response to the climate crisis and other environmental issues. Environmental threats today inhibit various religious groups’ practices. At the same time, many religious communities advocate for a change in human behavior in order to mitigate the worst effects of climate change for all.
The climate crisis is a critical issue at the present time and interfaith coalitions have significant potential to advance progress. Please join us for this assembly that will build community between groups working towards environmental solutions via a spiritual and/or religious perspective.
