Climate Migration webinar

Please join us for this inspirational and informative webinar, co-sponsored by Waterspirit and Laudato Si’ Movement - New Jersey chapter.

Climate change and other environmental issues, such as pollution and resource extraction, are among the many drivers of cross border and internal migration. Those same issues present serious hazards to people on the move, in other words, people in the process of migrating. Migrants then, when they reach a destination, frequently have no option but to settle in environmentally compromised locations that pose risks to their health and well-being. Once settled they find employment in jobs at risk of exposure to extreme temperatures, pesticides, and other hazards.

Immigration is a critical issue at the present time but this aspect of it is not widely recognized. Please join us for this webinar that will draw attention to environmental conditions that are drivers of migration and the serious risks they present to migrants.
