Fr Jim Lawlor will lead a reflection on the lessons we can learn from Laudato Si to mark the Season of creation.
The Season of Creation is celebrated annually by tens of thousands of Christians around the world. It unites the global Christian family around one shared purpose – protecting and caring for God’s Creation. As climate change continues to threaten our children and grandchildren’s futures, this year Pope Francis is encouraging Catholics to take part in the season and respond to “the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”.

More about SCIAF Organizer of World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation:
Working in Africa, Asia and Latin America, in some of the world’s poorest communities, we give families tools, seeds and training so they can grow enough food.
We help young people to go to school, and set up skills training so people can make a living. Where communities have been torn apart by war we help them to rebuild and live in peace.
When natural disasters strike we work through the global Caritas network to get life-saving help to those who need it most.
Here in Scotland we campaign on the issues which make, and keep people poor like climate change and unfair trade.
