“Water is fluid, soft and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: What is soft is strong.” Lao-Tzu, 600BC

Water is life!
Life came from water and life is sustained by water. Without water there would be no food, no fish, no plants, no babies – no life.
At the heart of WATERSPIRIT is a spirituality that connects nature, especially water, with the sacred. Water, as a sustainer of all life, is a sign of the presence of the holy moving through and nurturing all beings. As a great connector, Earth’s water flows through the planet in a cycle that unites all of life. As has been said, “My tears today may be your cup of tea tomorrow.”
In WATERSPIRIT, a reverence for water includes a commitment to preserve and protect this source and sustainer of life. Programs, learning, reflection and ritual lead to action on behalf of water.
