This event will provide a day of reflection, conversation and interactive experiences as we attune ourselves to the rhythm of Earth at the Stella Maris Retreat Center on the Jersey Shore. For college students, graduate students and faculty from the tri-state area who are interested in the environment and a spirituality that flows from a connection with all life. Summer Solstice: Hooray for Summer!
Come to the Atlantic shore to celebrate the arrival of summer. The celebration begins with a ritual of gratitude for the energy of the sun that enables all life on Earth to thrive. Families and friends of all ages will enjoy this afternoon of fun in the sun that includes a parade into summer, crafts, face painting, kite flying and light refreshments. Registration is required. (Celebration is weather permitting).

The Mystery of Sandy
Many of us have lived through and some may still be living through the heart wrenching experiences of superstorm Sandy and her aftermath. This experience may include anxiety, anger, frustration and even doubt about the presence of God in nature. Are there also messages of healing and transformation in this experience? Are we being called to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our connection with Earth and both the nurturing and destructive powers of her waters? Come away to where water meets shore for a gentle time of hope, reconciliation and re-energized faith.

Winter Solstice
Pause in the middle of busy holiday preparations and experience the sacred in the darkness and the coming of the light of the Winter Solstice. In music and liturgical dance hope is sparked and peace is deepened as the darkness is illuminated by the lighting of the Solstice fire. All Saints Regional Catholic School Liturgical Dancers will be part of the Solstice Celebration or Ritual.
