Driving Directions from the NORTH

• Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 11 to Garden State Parkway South (or just take the Parkway South) to Exit 105 - Route 36.
• When you get off the parkway, go straight and you're on Route 36.
• Stay on Route 36 past the Monmouth Mall (on your right) and past the intersection of Route 35.
• At the second traffic light after Route 35, go Right onto Route 71 South.
• Stay on Route 71 as it weaves around past a McDonald's (at this point Route 71 becomes Cedar Ave.) and goes past Monmouth University.
• Once you're at the end of Monmouth U. (there is a traffic light here) Route 71 turns right...
• DO NOT turn right, stay on Cedar Ave. to the end of the road.
• When you come to the end of Cedar Ave., make a RIGHT onto Ocean Ave.
• You will pass San Alfonso Retreat House on your left, and a Red Church (St. Michael’s) on the right, and then go over a small bridge.
• Shortly thereafter, you will see a Blue sign (on your left) that says: Stella Maris Retreat Center, 981 Ocean Ave.
